Following the 2017 Samoëns opening and the 2018 Les Arcs opening, the fully renovated Alpe d’Huez Club Med will reopen on 15 December. Transformed in accordance with environmental standards, this 4-Trident resort will offer clients new premium experiences.

At an altitude of 1,860 metres, in the heart of Alpe d’Huez with exceptional panoramic views of the Alps – that’s where Club Med chose to carry out this ambitious renovation, elevating its Club from a 3 to 4-Trident rating.

Now boasting 441 bedrooms, including Deluxe rooms and Suites, the welcoming interior design is inspired by timeless mountain tradition and the resort’s local history.

Guests will have access to the all-Inclusive facilities that have made Club Med such a success: kids’ clubs from the age of 4 months to 17 years, restaurants and bars, aqua and spa areas, ski shop, ski and snowboard school, hiking and Nordic walking, yoga classes, sports hall, electric mountain biking in summer.

Two restaurants will be included in the all-inclusive offer:

The main ‘Pic Blanc’ restaurant, boasts different atmospheres and décor, with a traditional and international buffet.

The Gourmet Lounge will serve an authentic gourmet selection of local specialities in a cosy, elegant atmosphere throughout the day.

Specially adapted for families, the new resort will include two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and two paddling pools. Families with young children will especially love the ‘Happy Room’, an open access play area where children can enjoy a selection of games and books chosen especially for them.

For a bit of relaxation, as well as the outdoor Jacuzzi, which rounds off the aqua area, adults can also enjoy ‘La Bulle’ (The Bubble), a well-being and meditation area specially reserved for them. This is where yoga classes are also held, and it’s the perfect backdrop for recharging your batteries and getting back in touch with the real you. This relaxing experience can be followed up with a body treatment or facial at Spa Payot.

These renovations are part of a wider programme of Club Med Alps upgrades which began some years ago.

Last year, a 4 and 5-Trident Club Med opened its doors in Les Arcs. Located at an altitude of 1,750 metres, overlooking Arc 1600, the Club Med Arcs Panorama offers exceptional views over the Tarentaise valley and surrounding summits, Mont Blanc in particular. A year ago, the 4-Trident Samoëns Morillon resort opened at an altitude of 1,600 metres at the heart of the Grand Massif.

In the next few years, the Club will also be setting up in La Rosière, and then Valloire.
