A brand new media library for young and old! Conceived as a real place to live in the heart of the village of Les Angles, this new space (built in an environmentally-friendly way by renovating an old building) is open all year round and 100% free of charge.
With areas for children, teenagers and multimedia, including games consoles and board games, the media library will appeal to all ages! The multimedia area also shows films and documentaries. A friendly place to meet up and relax after a day on the slopes!
Le Mont Dore :
Sancy Park, THE activity zone for families in the Mont-Dore resort, offers a wide range of activities and entertainment for children, including a discovery trail on electric snowmobiles, accessible to children aged 5 to 12. A fun way to discover this machine, usually reserved for resort professionals!
Besse Super Besse :
An Escape Game, yes, but in a gondola, please! For teenagers aged 10 and over, climb aboard the gondola and solve the riddles in this volcanic escape game, at an altitude of 1800 metres. Your mission? Prevent a volcanic natural disaster from destroying the resort.
Every Tuesday during school holidays at 4.30pm (€85 for 5 people) Lasts 45 minutes. Not suitable for people with motion sickness.
Le Grand Bornand :
The resort is banking on the principle of ‘Skiing together’ thanks to its new fun ski offer for beginners: ‘BO!ostée’. The ski area has been redesigned so that beginners can access the high altitude points of interest without having to take the red or black runs. Easier slopes are available as an alternative to descending.
At Le Grand-Bornand, skiing is designed to be as inclusive as possible for families, and the resort is also offering 2 new fun zones: ‘ Défi MoM “” a fun run based on the theme of agriculture, and “ Mom'Park ” for an introduction to freestyle, are two areas that are sure to delight families!
Vaujany :
In the Isère resort, children can enjoy an evening where parents are not allowed! From 5pm to 9pm, the ‘Kid's Party’ welcomes children for a festive evening, during which parents are free to relax at the spa, or dine out in the restaurant without their tribe. See all the dates here.
Aussois :
Snow-tubing has existed in Aussois for many years, but now the resort can offer you this activity in both winter and summer thanks to a new synthetic slope. There's no change in terms of thrills, and the activity is just as much fun as ever. Children and parents each sit in a buoy, and all that's left to do is take off down the specially prepared run.
Once you've set off, there's no braking - forwards or backwards, it's all up to you. And when you get there, you'll just want to do it all over again! Just what you need: attach your buoy to a snow line and let it pull you back to the start, and off you go again!
Courchevel :
Located in the Les Airelles establishment, the Teenager Room is specially designed for teenagers. Pinball, billiards, table football and a bar with cold drinks and snacks are available. This new games room completes the Airelles Winter Camp offer: the children's kingdom, the private ice rink and the tree house. Click here to find out more.
Alpe d'Huez :
The extension to the Palais des Sports et des Congrès, which was recently inaugurated, now has a special area for young children. Accessible to children up to the age of 6, it has been fitted out with a dozen specially adapted modules: manipulative games, climbing motor skills, a reading corner, giant bricks, etc. There's something for everyone to develop their motor skills and curiosity, for a moment of freedom in complete safety!
Peyragudes :
This winter, the resort is offering a new walking trail for children.
This spectacular 20-minute trail takes you 800 metres into the heart of the forest. You can return either on foot or by electric shuttle bus. Wide and easy, accessible to as many people as possible and with very little difference in altitude, you'll enjoy a moment of immersion in the middle of the trees, away from the cars. This walk can be done on foot or on snowshoes with 4x4 pushchairs, which can be hired from the Maison de Peyragudes.
Val d'Isère :
New this winter in Val d'Isère: the Chalet des Aiglons mascot, Gaston l'Aiglon, is inviting children on safari! Armed with their maps, the little mountain dwellers have to find Gaston's nests in the village and on the ski area! Once they've found them, the children take a photo of themselves in front of the nest, imitating Gaston, who has of course left his photo behind. A reward awaits the little detectives at the end of the Safari. A fun way to discover the village and its ski area!
Val d'Allos :
A new ‘Explor Games’ will be opening this winter in the Val d'Allos ski area: Le Seignus. It will be located at the arrival point of the Clos Bertrand chairlift, and will complement the existing fun trails. The area is accessible to skiers and pedestrians!
Méribel :
The Chaudanne snow front at Méribel centre is being transformed for winter 2025!
The redevelopment of the snow front is continuing: after the efforts made to host the World Championships in 2023, it's time to make way for beginners and children, who will benefit from a free, protected area and a dedicated sledging zone. The Chaudanne lounge will be revamped to create a warmer space with a cosy, cocooning atmosphere. There will be hot drinks, self-service snacks, free Wi-Fi and the option of recharging your smartphone.
Les Menuires :
New at Les Menuires: 1 day's free skiing... in the world's largest ski area!
The kids' maths teacher won't understand a thing when they get back from skiing! This winter, in Les Menuires, 5=6, 6=7, 7=8, 8=9... With the new Family Flex ski pass, there's 1 free day's skiing for every 5 consecutive days' skiing purchased.
And because one novelty can hide another, this offer includes an exclusive - and inclusive! - in France, including single-parent families (from 1 adult and 2 children). Conditions and info here.
La Bresse-Hohneck :
This winter, La Bresse has a new partner with the Famille Plus label: Green Mojo! Whether you're looking for thrills or peace and quiet, Green Mojo's off-road electric scooter tour of the Vosges promises a different experience, combining adventure and gastronomy.
Prepare to be amazed by the beauty of the Vosges landscape, while savouring the delights prepared by the culinary talents of La Bresse. Information and bookings here.
Villard de Lans :
This winter, why not try out the new night-time trail at Bois Barbu in Villard de Lans? With the help of an audio guide, come and enjoy an immersive experience at the start of the Bois Barbu cross-country ski runs.
A mix of sound and light, this trail will reveal the heritage of Villard de Lans in a way you've never seen before. It's a poetic new way of discovering the area, with projections, lighting and a narrative mixed with original music. At dusk, discover a 1.5 km illuminated scenic route with a dozen points of interest.
Orcières Merlette :
To make bowling more accessible to children, the Orcières resort is offering new, specially adapted furniture for families to use: launch ramps make it easier for children to get the ball down the lane. The activity is also now accessible to the smallest children from size 28 (4 - 5 years old).
Les Contamines-Montjoie :
The resort has a local day nursery with 15 places, run by the Tourist Office. From December 2024, a new, highly flexible and high-quality service will be introduced, with the creation of an additional day nursery dedicated to the children aged 0-3 of seasonal staff or those living in or outside the municipality. It will also be possible to accommodate children aged 3 to 5 in the same facility.
The new Family Plus-labelled resorts in 2024: Valloire and Isola 2000!
Since May 2024, 2 new resorts have been awarded the Famille Plus label, attesting to the quality of the facilities and services on offer for families. Isola 2000, an emblematic resort in the Southern Alps, and Valloire in Savoie, join the forty or so resorts already awarded the label in France.
A word from Valloire about obtaining the label:
"The municipality of Valloire has been working for many years to meet the expectations of its family clientele, both in terms of services (restaurants, accommodation facilities, activities, services) and the events offered by the Tourist Office in winter and summer, many of which are free of charge. In this way, holidays in Valloire become a time shared between parents and children, with activities adapted to all ages!
