2018 Advice and tips

If you haven’t booked your summer holiday yet and enjoy making new discoveries, you’ve come to the right place! Mountain resorts have exclusive offers on cool summer accommodation with something to suit everyone: hotels, gîtes and even mountain refuges, the choice is yours!
A revamp at the heart of Sancy
L’Ecir in Mont-Dore is becoming "Le P'tit Cham", launching the summer season with newly renovated bedrooms able to accommodate between 2 and 5 people. Enjoying an ideal situation at the foot of Sancy, this gîte hotel benefits from a beautiful sunny terrace which is perfect for sunbathing. A number of hiking routes set off from the hotel, and food-wise it offers delicious local specialities at both lunchtime and in the evening, which you’ll be glad of after a day of exertion! Family bonus: free for the under 3s!

Red against a green backdrop at Peisey Vallandry

It’s impossible to miss the imposing red façade of the Hôtel l’Alpin, located at the heart of Landry village. Modern and welcoming, this three-star establishment, which is opening for its first summer season in 2018, has 15 bedrooms, a restaurant, a cosy bar and a spa to soothe your limbs after a good day’s hiking. The restaurant offers fresh and inventive cooking that uses local and home-made ingredients.  Plus d’infos

A ‘street art’ chalet in Tignes
Once again, designer Mickaël Mériguet has broken the rules of mountain chalets with his Banksy Tribute Chalet - a genuine 430m² masterpiece boasting 4 suites that combine luxury with eccentricity. The chalet immerses you in the world of English artist Banksy, an enigmatic character and graffiti urban legend. It is home to three original artworks, including two paintings and a £10 note customised by Bansky himself and is a real homage to the international Street Art scene that is such an inspiration to its owner. An indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room complete this exceptional chalet.

Revamped wood-clad style in Val d’Isère
The Hôtel l’Avancher***, which was entirely rebuilt last summer, will be celebrating its first summer season in 2018. The décor is welcoming, modern and lavishly adorned with wood, housing 37 bedrooms sized between 24m² and 61m², featuring everything required for a cosy stay. For more independence while retaining the quality and comfort of hotel services, the lodges are an easy way for groups and families to be accommodated in spacious apartments. As for flavour and friendliness, gourmet cuisine using fresh local produce is available in the restaurant, in addition to a wine bar and lounge area with a fireplace. The added bonus is the spa with wonderful views and a locked bicycle rack.
A mountain refuge with all mod cons in Les Menuires
The Lac du Lou mountain refuge has had a makeover and been extended with the addition of a new building that means it can now accommodate a total of thirty people. From the 16th of June until the 16th of September, it invites guests to discover its welcoming, authentic atmosphere with simple, generous, quality cuisine. Greater comfort, more space and a fresh feel for the two rooms for 4 people, the rooms for 5 and 7 people and the independent 12-person dormitory, which is available for private hire.
Situated in a little wild valley on the shore of the largest lake in the Belleville Valley, the mountain refuge is easily accessible in an hour’s walk with a 250-metre vertical climb along a wide path from the Chez Pépé Nicolas refuge, or from Les Bruyères artificial lake via a little mountainside path.
