Night skiing

Discover the intensity of the unique experience, in all its forms!

On the contrary to what you may believe, skiing does not necessarily stop when evening falls.  Now, you can also ski at night!  Beneath the spotlights and a starry sky, skiing takes on a whole other dimension.  Discover the intensity of the unique experience, in all its forms!

Well-lighted slopes...

Skiing under the night sky is a unique experience, in which you will see another side of the mountains.  The feeling is different; the slightly mysterious atmosphere will make your spine tingle.  Let yourself be tempted by the magic of this experience, as a family or with friends.

In the spotlight …

For the past dozen years, numerous resorts have chosen to equip part of their skiable domain (on average, between one and ten slopes) with powerful spotlights, which provide sufficient light to ski safely while taking advantage of the exciting night time atmosphere.  Rediscover familiar slopes, adapted to all levels, which lead directly back to the resort (which is practical, in case fatigue sets in).  Among the resorts where one can ski under the spotlights, Les Arcs, Serre-Chevalier, le Collet d'Allevard and Les Saisies (with one of the longest lit up slopes in the Alps) are not to be missed.

…or the natural light of the moon and stars.

Even more magical, this type of night skiing takes you into prepared areas under the light of the full moon.  Numerous outings are organised, and everything has been thought out in advance. The trained guides and instructors who accompany skiers know the itinerary to follow in order to assure complete safety.  Strong sensations and emotions are guaranteed; the experience is unforgettable.  A good meal in a high-altitude restaurant before setting out, followed by a glass of reviving hot wine when one returns to the station, makes the experience that much more enjoyable. This tradition has made the Full Moon party organised every year at La Clusaz famous!
